Hi, I’m Jo Smith & I live and run my floristry business (with the help of Olive, our crazy Tibetan Terrier & her side-kick Stanley the Cocker Spaniel) from my home “Borrowdale” in the village of Holton-le-Clay, North East Lincolnshire. I am situated between the towns of Louth & Grimsby and within easy reach of all the surrounding villages.

I have been working with flowers for almost 25 years & have qualifications in floristry, horticulture & teaching, over the years I have won many competitions & awards including an RHS Gold Metal, I’ve learnt a lot, met & taught some amazing people, travelled & enjoyed some wonderful opportunities, all surrounded & submerged in flowers. I love what I do & take the responsibility of it very seriously, it’s the best job in the world and being a part of your lives for all those occasions when flowers take centre stage is a huge privilege. Flowers are present & represent us in all aspects of our lives, they are personal, memorable & beautiful & carry with them your thoughts, feelings & emotions.

Jo did our wedding flowers for 28.08.2026 and she was truly one of the best decisions made for the wedding. From the very beginning, Jo was so kind, personable and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Throughout the entire process communication was spot on, and the skill and quality of the work she did was outstanding. The flowers were very fresh and lasted so well after the wedding, I am now getting them preserved to hold onto their beauty. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Jo for the whole experience of our wedding flowers. From the initial phone call to the day, we felt totally in safe hands and trusted Jo to bring our wedding flower dreams to life. Jo went above and beyond what we would expect from a florist by staying between our ceremony and wedding breakfast to re-dress the room. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding flowers! Everything was absolutely gorgeous and looked even more beautiful than I had imagined. Calla lilies are my favourite flowers, so having them as part of our wedding day made everything feel extra special. 🤍 The flowers were elegant, fresh and beautifully arranged, and they added the perfect finishing touch to our day. I absolutely love Blooms at Borrowdale. Jo is amazing. She makes me beautiful flower arrangements for a special friend who passed. I always feel emotional when I see them as she puts her absolute heart and soul into everything she does and it shines through.
